This portal aims to bring increased transparency to the City Council of Sooke. 

While all this information is publicly available, not many of us want to sift through hours upon hours of Council meetings to figure out what is happening in our town. Meetings drag on for hours and hours, so we have boiled them down to a few bullet points you can read in 20-30 seconds, not 5-6 hours.

We use AI to transcribe the meetings and post the complete transcription here. Remember, a computer is transcribing, and mistakes may be made. We do our best to verify the transcriptions, but mistakes happen. If the information is important to you, it's recommended that you verify it right from the source (video). 

Also provided is information on council attendance and other matters of interest related to the council, as well as the occasional opinion piece.
